Terms of Service
Last updated: September 8, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Sea2Sea Studios ("we", "us") about your use of Soulsworn Tactics (the "game"). By playing, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU and UK). If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
- Playing as a guest. The game creates an account for you automatically, tied to the device you're playing on. You don't have to give us any information to play.
- Adding an email is optional — and it's how you get your account back. If you add an email address, you can sign in on a new device and recover your roster if you lose or reset this one. If you play as a guest and lose your device or its data, we may not be able to recover your progress. We'll remind you about this in the game, but the choice is yours.
- Linking devices. You can add another device to your account with a code shown in the game. Only enter a code for a device that is yours: doing so gives that device full access to your account.
- One account per person. Don't share your account, sell it, or use someone else's. You're responsible for what happens on devices you've linked; remove devices you no longer control in Settings → Your devices.
- One session at a time. Signing in on a second device signs the first one out.
- Emails. If you link an email address we may send you service messages about your account and the game. We send news and updates about the game only if you opt in, and every such email lets you unsubscribe.
- Switching accounts. If you sign in to an existing account on a device that has guest progress, that guest progress may become inaccessible. The game will warn you and ask you to confirm before this happens.
3. The game and virtual items
- Units, gold, essence and everything else in the game are virtual items with no monetary value. You have a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use them in the game; you don't own them and can't sell or trade them for real money.
- Losing things is part of the game. Units can die permanently and progress can be lost as a normal result of play. That's the design, not a defect.
- This is pre-release software. During alpha and beta we may change rules, rebalance, reset progress, wipe accounts, or shut down servers, with or without notice. We'll try to warn you first, but we can't promise your progress will survive.
- Purchases. The game is free to play. We may offer optional purchases, such as virtual currency, items or cosmetics, and we may show advertising. Purchases are made through the store you got the game from (for example Steam, the App Store or Google Play) or through our payment provider, under their terms as well as ours. Prices can change. Virtual items you pay for are still virtual items: a licence to use them in the game, not property, with no cash value, and we may change, rebalance or remove them as the game evolves. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law or the store's own refund policy says otherwise. You must be an adult, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to make a purchase.
- Advertising. If the game shows advertisements, they come from third parties. We're not responsible for their content or for anything you buy or do after following one.
4. Playing with others
- Your display name and your in-game activity, such as rankings, raids and friends, are visible to other players. Choose a display name that is yours to use and that isn't offensive, misleading or impersonating someone else. We may change or remove names that break this rule.
- Friends, messages and other social features. The game may let you add friends, send messages, or take part in group features such as chat rooms. Anything you post or send may be seen by other players and may be reviewed by us to keep the game safe and to enforce these terms. Don't share personal information, yours or anyone else's, and don't send anything that is abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening, spam, or illegal.
- Your content. You keep ownership of what you write or create in the game. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, display and moderate it as needed to run and promote the game.
- Reporting and moderation. You can report other players to support@vivefire.com. We may warn, mute, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, at our discretion.
5. Fair play
Don't cheat, exploit bugs, use modified clients or automation, attack or overload our servers, harass other players, or try to access other people's accounts or data. Please report bugs to us instead of abusing them.
6. Ending the agreement
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@vivefire.com from the address linked to your account, or from the game once the option is available there. Deletion is permanent and completed within 30 days.
- We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, or as part of shutting down or resetting the game, at our discretion.
7. Disclaimers and limits
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for lost progress, lost virtual items, downtime, or any indirect or consequential loss. Where the law does not allow us to exclude liability, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell you in the game. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new terms.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, and disputes go to its courts, unless the consumer-protection laws where you live say otherwise.
