Soulsworn Tactics (the "game") is made by Sea2Sea Studios ("we", "us"). For anything about this policy or your data, email privacy@vivefire.com.
| Category | Examples | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Account and device information | an anonymous account identifier; a key that recognises your device; if you add one, your email address or a sign-in identifier from a third-party account; whether you opted in to game updates | to create and secure your account, sign you in, recover your account, warn you about security events such as a new device being added, and, only if you opted in, send you news and updates about the game |
| Profile and social information | your display name; friends you add; players you interact with; rankings and results; messages, if the game offers messaging | to run the game's social features; your display name and activity are visible to other players |
| Game data | your roster, units, currency and other progress, battle results, choices you make in the game | to run the game |
| Technical and security information | network address, device and software details, times of activity, error and crash reports | to keep the game working, prevent cheating and abuse, and investigate problems |
| Purchase information | what you bought, when, and a transaction reference from the store or payment provider — never your card or bank details, which they handle | to deliver purchases and handle refunds and disputes, if you buy something |
We do not ask for your real name, date of birth, or postal address.
We use your information to provide and secure the game, to run its social and competitive features, to fix problems, to enforce our Terms of Service, and to comply with the law. Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, ours is: performance of our contract with you (the Terms of Service) for running the game; our legitimate interests in keeping the game secure, fair and working; and your consent where we ask for it.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with data brokers.
We are based in the United States and process and store data there. If you play from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on standard contractual safeguards for such transfers.
We keep your information for as long as your account exists and as needed for the purposes above. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep some records for legal, security or accounting reasons, or where records of game events are kept without your identity for the integrity of the game. Technical logs and error reports are kept for a limited period.
The game is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 to play (16 where the law sets that age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and protected storage of account secrets. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and, where required, the relevant authorities, as the law requires.
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for changes that matter to you, tell you in the game before they apply.
